Hollywood actor Jed Calloway was seen crying in the aisle of a garden centre in Berkshire on Saturday, and onlookers say it was all because of the prices.
The 45-year-old star, who is in the UK for a film shoot, was said to be holding a small potted fern and staring at the label. “He looked at it, looked at his wallet and started sobbing,” said shopper Maureen Dix.
A staff member comforted him with a cup of tea. A representative for the actor said: “Jed was moved by the beauty of the plants. He bought the fern.”
